This just proves to me you really DONT have a clue........especially about racing.

Here are the facts in comparison...

Milan Dragway has a Friday nite series, which Im "currently" putting in comparison to CSCN............as far as payouts are concerned, with the exception of a few toolboxes.

http://www.milandragway.com/Heads%20Up/6.htm

This "series" is what, 5 or 6 events over the course of the summer??

CSCN is a ONCE A YEAR deal, advertising 80000.00 in payouts, while Milan is 18000.00 per event?????

So one would think, that with CSCN's entry fees being double and triple, and with FOUR times the "advertised" payouts, that they would be very very tasteful..........but..............WE HAVE TO BITCH TO GO FROM $500 payout to match Milan's $1500 payout????????

I'm done with this crap.

Oh, this time, when PRODUCING the video, please INCLUDE the champion of champions this time around.

Thanks.

As sponsor of the Pro Stock Class I take offense to that... All these guys are hard working and dedicated.. Pro Stock is one of the most expensive classes to run period, with $50,000- $90,000 into these cars it's a tough pill to swallow to run for peanuts..

It's easy to make shitty comments on the internet but maybe use your time in a positive manner and help the sport..

Don't worry guys, Richie Rich is the same nuthugger that comes around every year near CSCN time and puts his useless two cents in where they aren't required. I wonder what class he races in? I am sure we all know the answer to that one.

Either way, I am more looking forward to running this event now with a secured payout. I can even quit my crying about the free tires now! :D

Hahaha nuthugger. I'll be the bigger person here and refrain from using such terms. So because I'm a spectator I can't have an opinion? Next year I hope to have a car running in EZ Street so shall I reserve my opinions until I'm in the "Club" officially? You have all expressed your opinions about payouts but the minute someone else has a different opinion it can't happen. I didn't know this board was expressly for racers.

I'm not here to argue with anybody only to say maybe you guys could be more constructive and help in making the event better and bigger. I support the event by sponsoring it in a small way and my business has nothing remotely even close to do with cars. I love watching it and hope that carries over to racing in it next year.

Sorry Rob, I just don't feel that it's a spectator's place to jump in and give snark comments on the payouts for a class, especially when it is in our class specific forum. You can come in and give your opinion on the class and the show, but commenting on the RACER specific details of the class, such as payouts and rules I feel is between the racers, potential racers, race organizers and sponsors.

Also, you may be trying to be the bigger person now, but when you basically called us all a bunch of crybabies with your last great reply, you defetinitely were not being the bigger person and you knew the type of $#@ that it would stir up.

I am sure you will know more how we feel one day if you get a car ready and actually come out and race in one of these classes. A big part of our savings, earnings and all of our souls are poured into these cars and we happen to get quite passionate about things that affect our investment and the fun we get from our investment. Its just the way it is!

It is indeed an open forum and you can say what you want, but just remember those replying to your remarks can also say what they want back to you and it may not be what you want to hear. So next time you "don't want to argue", then please watch your backhanded comments to a passionate group of racers.

i just wanted to throw in my 2 cents , first off ,i have to say that i have been a spectator for the last
year and a half due to work and family obligations. i have a tremendous amount of respect for heads up class racers.
racing in canada will never be a profitable sport, but when your costs to race an event exceed the prize
money , it is disheartening . in pro stock - cost of engine maintenance is high and cost of tires , fuel ,
crew (entry fee, food, lodging for 3 days) it adds up very quickly. that's not including the large amount of money
needed to build and compete in this class . i can see what the racers in this class are fighting for . hopefully
things will work out for everyone . i would hate to see this class slowly die. in osca we already lost the outlaw cars
and the super/street is slowly dying . with just e-z street and pro stock left for heads up .....what's in the future????

Rob.

Its not what you said, but how you said it.... and toss in the Kleenex box crap, and you knew exactly what you were tryring to stir up. I won't explain why I feel this way, as Mike K said it perfectly. But yes, absolutely you have an opinion, regardless if you're spectator, building a car, never raced, etc. That said, that is moreso in the general chat section. Technically this is the "OSCA ProStock" forum, where topics of ProStock are to be discussed. In discussions of this nature, its a thread specifically dedicated to those who race the class. That's why I haven't posted in this thread, because I'm not a racer of this class anymore, so my opinion on the matter is irrelevant.

In hindsight, I'm sure you can understand why the racers of the class took offense to your post.

Whats done is done, lets all move on and continue the discussion. Bickering back and forth aint gunna do squat for anyone. 8)
